A beloved wife of the late Donald MacDonald (Donnie Barra), a treasured mum to Maria and mother-in-law to Noel, a wonderful granny to Erin, Orla and Danny, a dearly loved relative and friend. Following a brave and determined fight against cancer, suddenly but, peacefully in the care of the Beatson Cancer Centre, with his family by his side, on Tuesday 8th September, Alan James Mackay, aged 54 years. A loving husband to Catherine, a much loved dad to Jamie and Shana, father in law to Mhairi and Chris, and a devoted Papa to Arron, Aoife, Ellie and Archie. A long serving and dedicated employee of RJ McLeod, and a much loved relative and friend to many. His kindness, loyalty and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
