Àite Sìth Bereavement Care

A PLACE OF PEACE AND COMPASSIONATE CARE

Pronounced “atch-uh shee”, Àite Sìth is a Scottish Gaelic phrase meaning “Peaceful Place”. This name reflects our heartfelt intention to provide a calm, compassionate space for remembrance and care.
Àite Sìth will be a sanctuary for those navigating loss, and offering comfort with complete dignity and respect.

We’re very proud to bring Àite Sìth to the heart of Lochaber – a modern, purpose-built bereavement care facility designed to give your loved one the highest possible standard of care and dignity.
Every detail has been thoughtfully created with compassion and respect to offer families a calm, private space to say goodbye, together.

It – and Manson & MacBeath – are entirely focused on meeting the needs and supporting families in Lochaber and surrounding areas.
We ensure they have access to compassionate, modern, and supportive services during the most difficult of times.

Àite Sìth bereavement care facility has been a significant investment for us to enhance the quality and dignity of care we already provide.
It’s a commitment to our community, grounded in respect, empathy, and a deep sense of local responsibility.

This purpose built building is a privately owned annex to our current funeral home in Inverlochy, and is a first of its kind for the area.

This new building is an advanced and highly developed care facility but also a sophisticated chapel of rest with built in provisions to turn into an ultra-modern service room where we will be able to officiate smaller religious and non-religious funeral services for up to 40 people.

Our new premises are at ground level, are fully accessible and wheelchair friendly and include disabled toilet facilities as well as on site private parking for our families. In time we will also be creating a peaceful garden area where families can sit and reflect.

This multi-purpose building is a huge asset to our company and the families we care for.

Our current building has also undergone a complete renovation. We can now offer larger offices spaces and a spacious reception area where families can gather to make funeral arrangements, discuss funeral plans and talk through our headstone and memorial service options.
