Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday 5th March 2025, Ellen Smith, aged 85 years, Lady Margaret Drive, Corpach, Fort William. Devoted wife to the late Jim, a loving mum to Andrew, Lyn and Iain and mother-in-law to Suzanne, Colin and Jo-An, a treasured granny to James, Liam, Ewan, Craig and Calum, a life-long special bond with Sadie and John, a wonderful friendship with Norma and her ‘dancing friends’, a dearly loved relative, neighbour and a good friend of many. Always loved and remembered.

Sadly, but peacefully, in the loving care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Wednesday 19th March 2025, Alistair MacPherson (Ally/Bongoe), aged 52 years, Glendessary Street, Caol, Fort William, local self-employed Painter and Decorator. A loving son to Alistair and Mary, a treasured brother to Margaret and the late John and brother-in-law to George, a much loved step-dad to Morgan and Jamielee, a dearly loved nephew, cousin, relative, a loyal friend to so many and a best friend and a dad to his wee dog Mika. You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday 6th March 2025, Jean Cromar, aged 81 years, Belhaven Drive, Fort William (formerly Victoria Court). A loving wife to George, a treasured mum to Gillian and the late George, a much loved mother-in-law to Jeff, a cherished sister, a dearly loved relative and a very good friend to many. Forever in our hearts.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday 15th March 2025, James Logan (Jimmy), aged 78 years, Camuscross, Isle of Skye and formerly Caol, Fort William. Beloved husband of Catherine, a much loved father of Janet, Mary and Aileen, adored grandpa of Calum, Alexander, Catherine, Erica, Evan, Johnny, Isabelle and Alice, a dear brother of Margaret and the late Billy. Will be sorely missed.

A loving partner to Cat, a treasured dad to Claire, Carrie, Kim and Robbie and father-in-law to Bernie, Peter and Claire, a proud granda to Caira, Ellie, Archie, Jessica, Jorgie and Tegan, a much loved brother, relative and a good friend to many. Peacefully, in the loving care of Abbeyfield Care Home, Ballachulish, on Sunday 9th March 2025, Elizabeth Cattanach (née McVarish), aged 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles, a loving mother to Frank, Robert, Libby and the late Sandy and mother-in-law to Jessie, Mary and Arthur, a wonderful granny and great granny to all her grandchildren, a dear relative and a good friend to many. So greatly loved and missed.

Suddenly, on Friday 28th February 2025, Charles David Selwood (Charlie), aged 90 years, Station Road, Spean Bridge, by Fort William. A loving husband to Daphne, a cherished dad to Christopher, Yvonne and the late Dilly and father-in-law to Marion and Michael, a treasured grandad to Catherine, Charlotte, Daniel and Stephen and a proud great grandad to Brooke, Finn, Effie and Zachary, a caring brother to Iris, Frank and Betty, a dear relative, neighbour and a good friend. Sadly missed.

Suddenly while holidaying in Spain, on Friday 28th February 2025, Roddy Ferguson, aged 78 years, Millburn Court, Inverness (originally from the Isle of North Uist), retired Ship Captain. Devoted husband to the late Julie, a loving dad to Gavin and father-in-law to Lisa, a treasured ‘Seanair’ to Aria, a caring brother to Joan Philips, a special uncle to Bethany, a much loved relative and a very good friend to many. Always loved and remembered.

Suddenly but peacefully, in the care of Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, on Friday 28th February 2025, Penelope Margaret McIntyre (Penny), aged 76 years, Spean Bridge, by Fort William. Beloved wife to Phil, a loving mum to Imogen and Ben and mother-in-law to Ken and Nicky, a wonderful grandmother to Will and Yasmin, a caring sister to Martin, a dear relative and a good friend to many. So greatly loved and missed.

Beloved wife of the late Willie, a cherished mum to Christine, George, Angus and Sharon and mother-in-law to John, Debbie, Lesley and John, a wonderful ‘Granny Caol’ to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a caring sister, a much loved aunt, a dear relative, neighbour and a friend to many. So greatly loved and missed.

Peacefully at home, following a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday 11th February 2025, Edward Downs (Eddie), aged 78 years, St. John’s Road, Caol, Fort William (a keen Lawn Bowler at Fort William Railway Bowling Club). Beloved husband to Morag, a treasured dad to Jackie and William, a much loved brother and uncle, a dear relative and a very good friend to many. RIP.
