Funeral Notices

Peacefully passed away in the loving care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Friday 10th October 2025, Margaret Anne Buchanan, aged 83 years (formerly of Blar Mhor Road, Caol). A beloved wife to the late Jack, a loving mum to Joyce and Biff, a treasured granny to Jack, Mark, Ashleigh, Zoe and Victor, a proud great granny to Arleigh, Mara and Vinny, a dearly loved relative and a good friend to many. Forever in our hearts.

It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts, a life lost and never lived, on Friday 8th August 2025, Baby Aster J Keenan, born forever peacefully sleeping. A loved son to Robyn and Jake, a loved brother to Emily and Mason and twin brother to Tàmhas J, a loved grandson, nephew and cousin. Treasured always, forever missed, remembered always.

Peacefully, on Friday 17th October 2025, in the loving care from the incredible nurses, auxiliaries and cleaners of Ward 1, Belford Hospital, Fort William, Isabel Grace Neilson, known to all as Grace, closed her eyes for the very last time at the wonderful age of 92 with her son by her side. A devoted wife of the late Colin (Coco), a much loved Ma to Colin & Shiona, the most loving Granny to David and Serena, an adored Granny Grace to Ellena, Holly, Zander, Rohan and Odin, a dearly loved relative and friend. Forever in our hearts.

Suddenly and unexpectedly, at the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Saturday 11th October 2025, Theresa Best (Tessa), aged 85 years (formerly of Kennedy Court, Caol). A beloved wife to the late Gerry, a loving mum to John and Linda, a much loved mother-in-law, a wonderful nana to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a dearly loved relative and friend. RIP. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Tragically with a broken heart six weeks after losing her beloved son, Marion MacMillan, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday 9th October 2025, aged 77 years. An adored wife, an ever loving mum and treasured granny, a loving sister and aunt and friend to so many. Our hearts will never be whole again. Resting in eternal peace with her beautiful boy Lorne.

Peacefully, in the exceptional care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Friday 3rd October 2025, Anne Barr, aged 90 years, Grant Place, Claggan, Fort William. A loving wife to the late John, a cherished mum to Irene, Florence and Douglas and mother-in-law to Bruce and Sharon, a treasured granny (‘ma’) to Ben and Fiona, Grant, Lewis and Amber and Rachel and a special GG to Elliott, Alfie and Martha, a caring sister to the late Moira and Christine, a much loved auntie, a dearly loved relative, a good neighbour and friend to many. Always loved and remembered.

Sadly, but very peacefully, in the loving care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Friday 19th September 2025, Jennifer Ann Jones (Jenny), aged 65 years, Alma Road, Fort William (former Trading Standards employee with Highland Council). A loving daughter to Kenneth and Janet Jones, a partner to Neil, sister Glynis the late Kenny and Eric, auntie, dearly loved relative and a good friend to many. Treasured always, remembered forever.

Heartbroken to share, died in the excellent care of Roxburgh House, Aberdeen, on Friday 19th September 2025, David Alexander McMinn, aged 47 years, Aberdeenshire (formerly of Mallaig). Deeply loved husband to Yvonne, a wonderful dad to Aaliyah, Max and Elysia, a loving son to Myra and the late Billy, a caring brother to Kevin and Naomi and brother-in-law to Gail and Felix, a much loved uncle to Taylor, Senna, Zak, Chloe and Elsie and great uncle to River and Luella, a dearly loved relative and a very good friend to many. Forever in our hearts and mind’s.

Sadly, but very gently passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, following an illness that she faced with great dignity and courage, until her passing on Tuesday 23rd September 2025, Arlene Macleod, aged 59 years, Glenloy Street, Caol, Fort William (a dedicated and long serving employee with Invernevis House). A loving wife to Colin, a treasured mum to Marie and Nicola, a wonderful Ga-Ga to Kalen, Lisa and Laya, a loved and loving relative and a very good friend to many. In our hearts forevermore.
