Funeral Notices

With profound sorrow and broken hearts, we share the unexpected passing of David Joseph Duncan, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday 16th July 2025, aged 32, surrounded by the love of his family in the Intensive Care Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. David was a devoted son to the late Maryanne MacKay, a deeply loved and cherished brother to Kathleen, Michelle, Alex, Scott, Sharon and Keith. A precious nephew, especially to Georgina, Isobel and Kathleen, a loving dad to Nathan and he was also a proud uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and a loyal friend to many. His kindness, warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will stay with us forever. Forever loved, missed and certainly never forgotten.

Sadly, but peacefully in the care of CAU, Belford Hospital, Fort William, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday 18th July 2025, Ronnie MacKenzie, aged 85 years, The Corries, Claggan, Fort William. A loving partner to Nell for over 40 years, a cherished father to Rhona, John, Derek, Christine and Jeana, a wonderful papa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, a dearly loved relative, and a good friend to many. Sadly missed.

Sadly, but peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the care of CAU, Belford Hospital, Fort William, Sandra Cameron, aged 83 years, Lochy Road, Inverlochy, Fort William. A loving wife to the late Alex, a cherished mum to Dianne and William, a treasured granny to Lex, a caring sister to Margaret and Helen, a much loved relative, and a very good friend to many. Forever in our hearts.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday 8th July 2025, Eileen MacPhie (née Boyle), aged 79 years, Mallaig Bheag. A loving wife to Ian, a much loved mum to Colleen and John, a cherished nana to Àine, a dearly loved sister to Bridie, John, Mary, Dolores and the late James, a dearly loved relative and a good friend to many. RIP. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Very suddenly and unexpectedly, on Tuesday 1st July 2025, Jordan Isaac McPhee, aged 31 years, Dubh MacDonald Place, Inverlochy, Fort William. A precious son to Diana, a loving partner to Pamela, a much loved brother to Carrie, Kelly, Jake and Ben, a wonderful dad to Jordan and Jayda and step-dad to Ria, Kiera and Carly, an amazing nephew to Tracy, a fun-loving uncle to Shannon, Kyler and Geo, a unique and loyal much loved friend to many. So greatly loved and missed.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday 5th July 2025, William MacMaster (Willie), aged 72 years, Camesky Road, Caol, Fort William. A loving husband to Anne, a treasured dad to Lynn, Susan and the late Colin, a much loved father-in-law to Caroline, a wonderful grandad to Evie, Finlay, Gracie and Rosie, a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a good friend to many. Sadly missed.

Suddenly, but peacefully at home, on Thursday 3rd July 2025, Catriona Ann Morrison (Tina), aged 68 years, Corran Garden’s, by Fort William, long serving Children’s Service Worker with Social Services, Highland Council (Lochaber). A beloved wife to John, a loving mum to Neil, a cherished sister to Sheila, Margaret, Fiona, Mary, Alister Neil, John Alan and the late Duncan, a dearly loved relative and colleague and a very good friend to many. Always loved and remembered.

Heartbreakingly, on Friday 13th June 2025, Margaret McLeod, aged 83 years, Henderson Row, Plantation, Fort William. A loving wife to the late David, a much loved mum to David, a dearly loved relative, a dear neighbour and a good friend. So greatly loved and missed. Sadly, but peacefully in the care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Sunday 31st March 2024, Alexander David McLeod, known to all as David/Davy, aged 82 years, Henderson Row, Plantation, Fort William, retired Lab Assistant at the former Pulp and Paper Mill, Corpach. Beloved husband of Margaret, a loving dad to David, a caring brother to Iain and the late Henry, a much loved uncle, relative and friend. Sadly missed.

Suddenly and unexpectedly, in the care of A&E, Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Thursday 26th June 2025, Jennifer (Jenny) Maud Catherine Gordon (née Beacham), aged 74 years, Lundy Gardens, Inverlochy, Fort William. A loving wife of the late Davey Gordon, an adored mum to Angela and mother-in-law to David, the best nana to Keira, a cherished sister to Margaret, Patricia, Veronica, Jimmy and Clifford, a much loved sister-in-law and auntie, a dear relative and a very good friend to many. Forever in our hearts.

Suddenly at home, on Thursday 6th June 2025, Jean Beattie, aged 85 years, Ghlaseruim, Glencoe. A beloved of wife to Jim, a loving mother to Jennifer, a dearly loved relative, a good neighbour and friend. Sadly missed.

Sadly, but peacefully, in the loving care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Friday 20th June 2025, Moira Grant, aged 80 years, Castle Drive, Lochyside, Fort William. A loving wife to Aonghas, a cherished mum to Deirdre, Fiona and the late Angus and mother-in-law to Bruce, a wonderful granny to Eva, a dearly loved relative, neighbour and a good friend to many. RIP. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
