Peacefully, in the care of Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, on Monday 18th August 2025, Murdina MacLeod (Dina), aged 86 years, Cameron Road, Fort William (formerly of Ayr and Sheshader, Isle of Lewis). A dearly loved aunt to Margaret, a loving partner to the late Len, a much loved sister to Alex and the late John, Mary and Cathy, a cherished sister-in-law to Irene and a caring aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and close friends. Forever in our hearts.

Suddenly at home, on Friday 8th August 2025, Isabella Ann MacDonald, known to all as Ann, aged 71 years, Walter Cameron Way, Corpach, Fort William. Beloved daughter to the late Ina Fraser, mother to Sandra and the late Anna, also remembered as a relative and friend. Rest In Peace.

Suddenly, but peacefully at home, on Thursday 7th August 2025, George Graeme Loudon, aged 80 years, Riverside Road, Kinlocheven (Stalker with Mamore Estate for over 40 years and formerly an Artist with D.C. Thomson for The Dandy and The Beano). A beloved husband to the late Margaret, a loving dad to Ali, Donnie, Cameron, David and Fiona and father-in-law to Auriel, a caring uncle, a dearly loved relative, neighbour and a good friend to many. So greatly loved and missed.

Peacefully, in the care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, with his loving wife by his side, on Sunday 3rd August 2025, William Alasdair Baxter, known to all as Alasdair, aged 88 years, Lorn Drive, Glencoe. A beloved husband of Christine, a dearly loved relative, a respected friend and a true Highland Gentleman. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday 5th August 2025, Ewen Campbell, aged 85 years, Mossfield Drive, Lochyside, Fort William (formerly of Grant Place and Castle Drive), former boat builder in Mallaig and a locally retired Carpenter, Fort William. Beloved husband to Betty, a caring dad to George and Alison, a loving father-in-law to Lesley, brother to the late Cathie, Ian, Donald and Christina, much loved brother-in-law, a dear uncle and great uncle, a loved relative, neighbour and a good friend. Sorely missed.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his ever-loving family, on Tuesday 29th July 2025, Duncan MacInnes, aged 92 years, Bail Ur, North Ballachulish. A loving husband to Marion, a treasured dad to Lizzie, Sandy, Fiona and Duncan, a wonderful gramps to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, a much loved father-in-law, a dearly loved relative and friend. Forever in our hearts. We celebrate the life of a man who lived 92 years with the energy of someone constantly being chased by the gamekeeper - and more often than not, he was. A man who could spot a blinking stag from 500 yards and convince you it was a threat to national security. A Navy veteran, a proud serviceman who defended his country with honour, sailed the high seas... then came home and declared war on the local wildlife. Here's to the man who lived life like it was one big adventure, and we suspect he's already raising hell up there. Dochie, our favourite rascal.

Peacefully, in the excellent care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Monday 27th July 2025, Donald Ewen Ferguson, aged 83 years, St. John’s Road, Caol, Fort William. A dearly loved brother to Iain, Ewen, Murdina, Findlay and the late Catherine and brother-in-law to Isabella, Sandy, Louis, Ina and the late Murdo, a much loved uncle, great uncle, great great uncle and a good friend to many. Sadly missed. Donald studied modern languages at Aberdeen University, followed by nine years of teaching English in Kenya. He then served as Head of the Languages Department at Plockton Secondary School for over 30 years, during which time he made many good friends.

Peacefully, in the care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Monday 21st July 2025, William Douglas McClymont, known to all as Dougie, aged 89 years, Callart Road, Kinlochleven. A loving uncle to Rances, Douglas, Bobby, David, Christine and Kathleen, a much loved great uncle to Kim, Chantel and his many other great nieces and nephews, a dear brother to Chrissie, Jimmy and the late Robert, Ian and Donald, a dearly loved relative and friend. So greatly loved and missed.

Very gently, in the care of Good Hope Hospital, The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, on Monday 7th July 2025, Sister Marie Inglis, aged 95 years, Great Barr, Birmingham (formerly of Fort Augustus). A dearly loved relative, parishioner and friend. RIP. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
