Peacefully in the excellent care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Saturday 6th September 2025, Richard Twining Sidgwick of Milestone Hill, Achnacarry. Aged 81 years at the end of a long and happy life. Beloved husband to Janet, a loving father to Alison, Peter and Mary Rose and treasured by each of their families. Land agent and trusted advisor to many, and a good friend to many, many more. RIP. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Peacefully passed away, in the loving care of Invernevis House, Fort William, on Tuesday 2nd September 2025, William Cameron Shaw (Bill), aged 64 years, Lundavra Road, Fort William (Team Member with Elis Brigham). A loving son of the late Anna May Shaw, a much loved brother of Sheena, a caring uncle to Mhairi, a dearly loved relative and friend. Sadly missed.

Suddenly but peacefully, at home with his ever loving family by his side, after a illness borne with great courage and dignity, on Sunday 21st September 2025, John Joseph Vickers, aged 66 years, Blar Mhor Road, Caol, Fort William (long serving employee with BSW Timber – Kilmallie Sawmill). A devoted husband to Mary, a loving dad to Kelly, Carrie, John and Lisa, a treasured papa to all his grandchildren, a wonderful ‘paps’ to his great grandchildren, a much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle, a dearly loved relative and a very good friend to many. In our hearts you will remain, always loved, never forgotten.

Peacefully passed away in the compassionate care of Abbeyfield Care Home, Ballachulish, on Sunday 21st September 2025, Margaret Rawlins, aged 90, 6 Dalnabreac, Acharacle. A beloved wife of the late Francis William Rawlins, a loving mum to Steven, David and Joanne and mother-in-law to Sally and Siobhan, a wonderful grandma to Simon, Tom, Ben, Samuel, Matthew, Timothy, Benjamin, Rebecca and Jessica, a proud great grandma to Arabella, Eliza and Alasdair, a dearly loved relative, and a good friend. So greatly loved and missed.

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Fergus Ward, on Thursday 28th August 2025, aged 17 years (apprentice Electrician with I.E.S). A treasured son to Catherine and Mark, a cherished grandson to Julie, a dearly loved brother to Scott, Rachel and Sarah, an adored partner to Claire, a much loved relative and a loyal friend to many. Fergus will be remembered for his kind heart, bright spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him. Forever cherished, forever loved, forever Fergus.

Tragically taken from us too soon, our gentle loving boy, Lewis Philip Knox, aged 16 years, on Thursday 28th August 2025. Beloved son of Alan and Liz, brother to Shaun, Alan, Kris, Louise and the late Scott. A much loved grandson to Elizabeth and the late William, also the late George and Phyllis, a much loved uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law and a great friend to many. "Your light will shine in our hearts forever."

Sadly, but peacefully in the compassionate arms of her loving family at the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Tuesday 9th September 2025, Catriona Barbara Spence, aged 74 years, Appin Road, Kinlochleven (retired Prison Officer). A loving daughter of the late Peggy and Joe Spence, a cherished sister to Alice and the late William, a dear sister-in-law to Sandy, a wonderful auntie, a dearly loved relative and friend. So greatly loved and missed.

Peacefully passed away, in the exceptional care of Abbeyfield Care Home, Ballachulish, on Wednesday 3rd September 2025, Howard Thomas Palethorpe, aged 84 years, (formerly of Heatherlea Court, Kinlochleven). A loving dad to Sam and Simon and father-in-law to Ewen and Holly, a treasured grandad to Josh, Mia, Cheyenne and Harry, a proud great grandad to Carly, Jacob and Theo, a dearly loved relative and friend. Forever in our hearts.

Unexpectedly but peacefully passed away on Monday 1st September aged 79, Malcolm Reed of Glasphein, Banavie. Beloved husband to Fiona, a loving father to Katherine & Alastair and father-in-law to Roberto, a wonderful grandad to Elisa, Alba & Alexander, a much loved brother to Heather and brother-in-law to Allan, uncle to Nicholas and Morven and a friend to many, he will be greatly missed. A special shout-out to the excellent care staff of Crossroads Lochaber and NHS Care at Home who supported Fiona in caring for Malcolm at home for 14 years after his stroke in 2011. You made the difference.

A loving husband to Irene, a dear brother to the late Mary, a caring brother-in-law to Tommy, Richard, Alice, Pat, James and the late Philip, a much loved uncle, relative and a good friend to many. Beloved wife of the late Donald, a treasured mum to Nigel, Sheena and the late Susan, a wonderful Nana to Peter, Christopher, Gary, Lauren, Ross and Craig, a proud Great Nana to all her great grandchildren, a much loved sister, a dearly loved relative and friend. Always loved and remembered.

Beloved wife of the late O’Donel Calderwood, a cherished mum to Robin and Eilidh and mother-in-law to Sarah, a wonderful granny to Sophia, Tom and Rory, a very close and special cousin to Mona, a dearly loved relative, neighbour and friend. So greatly loved and missed.

Peacefully passed away, in the care of the Belford Hospital, Fort William, on Monday 1st September 2025, John MacKinnon, aged 71 years, The Riggs, Fort Augustus (former Electrician with SSE). A dear brother to Angus, Alastair, Donald and Neil and brother-in-law to Deirdre, a much loved uncle to Jamie, Rachel, Kyle and Connor, a dearly loved relative, neighbour and friend. Rest In Peace.

Tragically taken too soon from his ever loving family, following a motorcycle accident, Lorne Watson MacMillan, aged 48 years, passed away in the care of the ICU – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on Monday 25th August 2025. He was our best friend, a loving partner, a treasured dad, an adored son, a wonderful brother, a fun loving uncle and a loyal friend to so many. We will love you forever our darling boy.

A loving son to the late Colin and Mary (Heathercroft), a cherished brother to Colin and Mary and brother-in-law to Bob, a much loved uncle to Corey, Harvey and Olivia, a dear relative and a good friend to many. Sadly missed.

A much loved dad to Thomas and Julie and father-in-law to Natalie, a proud grandpa to Alice, a cherished brother to Marie, Marshall and Daniel, a dearly loved relative and a good friend to many.
